FWM8BLZ09x dongles from Fujitsu add Wirepas Massive mesh network connectivity to existing gateways or equipment via a USB type A port. The series comprises anchor, tag, and sink models, all of which are based on a Nordic Semiconductor nRF52833 wireless system-on-chip.
Anchor and tag dongles are suitable for indoor location and tracking of people and assets on a massive scale. Gateway developers can build a Wirepas Massive network by inserting the sink dongle into existing gateways and running the Wirepas Massive gateway software. Sink dongles enable industrial IoT monitoring within smart offices, factories, warehouses, hospitals, and schools.
Equipped with an LED power indictor, the compact dongles are just 17.5×14.2×6.6 mm. The devices provide transmit power of +8 dBm maximum and operate over a temperature range of -30°C to +60°C. They are currently FCC/ISED, CE, and Radio Act Japan certified, with RCM certification (Australia) in progress and RSM certification (New Zealand) planned.
Samples of the FWM8BLZ09x series of USB dongles are available now; production orders will begin in September. More information and pricing can be obtained by emailing email@example.com. To learn about Wirepass Massive, click here.
